Echoes of Nekyia

Written and Directed by Cleopatra Lsk

A verbatim theatre performance inspired by Nekyia, the 11th rhapsody of Homer's Odyssey and based on a true story. Echoes of Nekyia follows a Syrian man in his attempt to cross the Mediterranean Sea in hope of finding a peaceful land. During this journey of death, as he calls it, he is facing his own demons but also the cruelty of the people in key positions at borders in land and sea.

Vénülő harc

Written and Directed by Bence Blaskó.

A surrealist one person show. Someone is trapped inside this dark, baron land. The only thing they find around themselves are strange metallic objects of various shapes and sizes. Soon after they realise that objects can make sounds and that some make sounds on their own. We follow their journey of learning how to communicate through sound in this strange world, while learning about their life through their monologues. Learning to play these odd instruments reminds them of their life from somewhere far away. Reflecting on their memories they get confused about their purpose. They try to break out, deny, accept, panic and laugh. Lost and tired, just how much longer can they keep this up before going crazy.
